I know the feeling Gerald

I’ve been waiting for my husband now 24 months with an out land application, everything done, medical and security checks done and submitted … twice… interview completed a year ago, all RPRF paid early 2015

the original time was 13 months … then after Liberals came to office it was changed to 18 months .. now it’s been 24 months and they won’t give us any answers

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and worked for a Corporate Tech company for 4 years and we are forced to be apart, yet express entry applicants get here in 6 months!

it’s frustrating and my patience is wearing thin.

It’s so hard for me to concentrate on my school studies, because my husband and i have not seen each other in person now for 14 months, that was the last time I flew overseas and I just can’t take the jet lag anymore.

I have flown overseas there 3 times in 2 years… to much and the cost is even more. we’d like to save our money for when he gets here so we can have a nest egg to start so flying overseas continually just drains that.

I hope you and your wife get some peace from this process soon
God Bless

Hi Rose,

Hope you’ve heard from CIC with your visa

I’ve been waiting for my husband now for 24 months. My sponsorship app received January 2016, approved March 2016 and sent overseas to Abu Dhabi and began processing April 2015.

First it showed 13 months processing time, then when the Liberal government came in, it changed to 18 months which we were fine since we understand things change but now it’s been 24 months and they don’t even give us any updates?

We haven’t been able to see each other for 14 months now since Canada Visa will not give him a temporary visit visa citing they don’t think he will return to his home country after his visa is ended??? he has a job there of 4 years and his entire family is there

So I have had to fly overseas 3 times in 2 years and I just couldn’t take the jet lag anymore by continuing to fly back. It interfered with my studies.

We are really hoping CIC will give him his PR soon. Everything else is completed. They asked and we paid for his RPRF in April 2016

then they sent him another request in August 2015 for him to pay his RPRF so he had to send them his receipt of paid in full from April 2016 and we still haven’t heard back

I sent a request to CIC in October 2016 for an update on his application and they said they are still waiting on the Background check, they told me that in August 2016 too when I requested information as his sponsor.

We are really hoping we aren’t getting bypassed and other’s are pushed through faster. Everything in our application has checked out fine and he has submitted all records needed … medical and security documents .. twice … because the first ones he sent expired.

his next expiry is April 2017 on medical and security and we really hope CIC will not bypass his application so he needs to pay for medical and security documents a third time.

I know patience is needed with CIC and we have had a lot of patience but to hear of so many people gaining entry as express entry applicants because they qualify for work. My husband has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and works at a Corporate tech company for 4 years, so he is more then qualified to work here once he lands but first they need to actually send him is PR so he can get here

Why do express entry get pushed through yet spouses wait for years is beyond my understanding or logic

Good luck to you and your husband Rose.
God Bless
