The Atlantic province of Prince Edward Island issued 78 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in a draw that took place May 17. Of that total, 22 invitations went to candidates through PEI鈥檚聽.
The province鈥檚 Office of Immigration said the聽Express Entry聽candidates invited are currently working in the province. No EOI score range was provided for the Express Entry invitations.
Express Entry candidates who wish to be considered under PEI鈥檚聽Express Entry Stream聽must create a profile through the province鈥檚聽, which was introduced in February. Profiles are reviewed and assigned points based on six selection factors: age, language, education, work experience, employment, and adaptability up to a maximum of 100 points.
Express Entry candidates who are nominated by PEI receive an additional 600聽聽(CRS) points.
Candidates invited through the PEI Express Entry Stream have 90 days from the invitation date to submit a complete application to the province鈥檚 Office of Immigration.
Labour Impact invitations also issued
The May 17 draw also issued invitations to 56 candidates in PEI鈥檚聽.
No EOI score range was provided for these candidates.
PEI鈥檚 Labour Impact Category is for individuals who possess skills and experience that are needed in PEI鈥檚 labour market. The category is divided into three streams:聽,听听补苍诲听.
PEI鈥檚 Office of Immigration did not provide a breakdown of how many candidates were invited through each stream in the Labour Impact Category.
