New Brunswick adds 9 occupations to Express Entry stream’s priority list

The Atlantic Canada province of New Brunswick has updated the priority occupations list for its Express Entry Labour Market Stream.

The occupations list for the聽聽continues to target Information and Communications Technology workers, among others.

The updated list includes 19 occupations, nine of which are new additions:

New Brunswick's Express Entry Labour Market Stream allows the province to select eligible candidates in the federal and invite them to apply for a provincial nomination.

Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination from New Brunswick receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points toward their Express Entry score.

In addition to work experience in one of the above occupations, candidates must currently meet one of the following criteria, among others defined by the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP):

  • Are currently employed in New Brunswick or have a job offer from a New Brunswick company that is designated Skill Type O, Skill Level A or Skill Level B under Canada鈥檚 National Occupational Classification (NOC); OR
  • Have a child, brother, sister, parent, grandparent, uncle or aunt living in New Brunswick who is at least 18 years old and has lived in the province for at least one year as a permanent resident or citizen of Canada; OR
  • Demonstrate French as first language, proven by a聽Test d鈥櫭﹙aluation de fran莽ais (TEF).

To be considered under this stream, 聽you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the NBPNP.

The NBPNP will only consider Expressions of Interest to this category from candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the聽and score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSWC selection factors. All聽applicants must also meet the eligibility criteria for the Express Entry New Brunswick Labour Market Stream.
