Driving while drunk has caused many deaths and just because one is an immigrant doesn’t mean we must have a 2 tiered system that favors immigrants getting away with drunk driving regardless of if someone is harmed while a Canadian born citizen faces the full brunt of the law. You commit a crime you are held accountable for your actions regardless of your nationality.

Same thing is happening in the Australia.According tome government should make some investment and tell the automobile industries to install alcohol detector in the car before you can start the car you have to check by the detector and then drive,, if anyone is drunken car will not start and will intimate message sorry take a taxi and go home.

This Is beyond harsh! I can understand, repeated offenders, or where someone was hurt as a result, but this is nuts! It smells to high heaven! It cannot be passed the way this Law is written! One glass of wine and that could easily be considered drunk-driving! This law needs to have more details, such as the level of intoxication! Otherwise, it is just an excuse to send the Immigrants back, and even the permanent residents, at that!
