B.C. invites 133 immigration candidates in new PNP draw
British Columbia invited 133 immigration candidates to apply for a for permanent residence through its latest Tech Pilot draw on May 26.
Invitations were issued to Skilled Worker and International Graduate candidates under the聽聽(EEBC) and聽 categories. The minimum required score for candidates in both categories was 80.
The May 26 draw saw the minimum score remain just as low as B.C.'s May 12 Tech Pilot draw. However, the newest draw saw 41 more ITAs issued than on May 12.
Under its B.C. invites tech workers with a valid job offer in one of to apply for permanent residence.
Candidates for EEBC must have profiles under both B.C.'s聽 (SIRS) and the聽federal system.
Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination obtain an additional 600 points towards聽their score. A provincial nomination is assigned the most CRS points under Express Entry and obtaining those 600 points essentially guarantees that an immigration candidate will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
The purpose of the Tech Pilot is to help address the labour market needs of B.C.'s tech sector.
Tech Pilot candidates need to obtain a job offer that is a minimum of one year in length. There also needs to be at least 120 calendar days remaining in the candidate's job tenure at the time the candidate submits their profile to B.C.
