B.C. invites 437 immigration candidates in new PNP draw

British Columbia issued invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence to Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates on August 7.

A total of 437 invitations were issued in the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker categories of the (BC PNP).

The minimum scores for this draw varied depending on the subcategory and ranged between 76 and 98 points.

The two subcategories included in the draw under the Express Entry BC stream and their respective scores were:

  • , which required a provincial score of 97.
  • , which required a provincial score of 98.

categories are open to immigration candidates with a profile in the federal , which manages the pool of candidates for Canada鈥檚 three 辫谤辞驳谤补尘蝉鈥攖丑别 , and .

Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination for permanent residence receive an additional 600 points toward their (CRS) score and are聽effectively guaranteed to receive an (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a federal Express Entry draw.

The three subcategories included under the stream and their respective scores were:

  • , which required a provincial score of 97;
  • , which required a provincial score of 98; and
  • , which required a provincial score of 76.

Candidates in the Skilled Worker, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, and International Graduate categories are required to register with the (SIRS) after completing a profile with the BC PNP鈥檚 online system.

SIRS is a points-based system used by the BC PNP to evaluate candidates based on factors such as education, work experience and proficiency in English and French.

All invited Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer with an employer in B.C.
