British Columbia and Manitoba issue provincial nominations in latest PNP results

This week both the British Columbia (B.C.) and Manitoba (PNPs) issued nominations to newcomers interested in subsequently applying for Canadian (PR).

Candidates were invited to apply through skills immigration, and family reunification streams. Read on for a full breakdown of this week鈥檚 provincial immigration news.

Note: Different PNPs use distinct scoring criteria when assessing immigration candidates to their province. As such, scores between PNPs are not comparable and can vary greatly.

Immigration results (May 11-24th)

British Columbia

The (BCPNP) invited candidates in two separate draws on May 14th and 22nd.

On the 14th, the BCPNP issued 37 invitations in a general draw that considered all skilled worker streams within the program (, Skilled Worker (EEBC) option*, , International Graduate EEBC option, and streams). Candidates needed a minimum score of 131 to be invited under all streams鈥攅xcept for the Express Entry & Semi-Skilled stream, in which candidates needed a minimum score of 107 to be invited.

*EEBC option indicates that the stream is aligned with Canada鈥檚 federal Express Entry managed programs. Learn more about enhanced PNP streams .

Within the same draw on the 14th, the BCPNP held targeted draws for candidates with professional experience within occupations in-demand in B.C. This draw was held under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams (including EEBC option) and issued invitations to a total of at least 36 candidates. Draw cut-off scores were:

  • 90 for candidates with experience in childcare professions;
  • 93 for candidates with experience in construction professions;
  • 100 for candidates with experience in healthcare professions; and
  • 80 for candidates with experience in veterinary care professions.

On May 22nd, the BCPNP held another targeted draw for in-demand positions under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams (including EEBC option). At least 75 invitations were issued, with cut-off scores including:

  • 93 for candidates with experience in childcare professions;
  • 93 for candidates with experience in construction professions;
  • 122 for candidates with experience in tech professions;
  • 100 for candidates with experience in healthcare professions; and
  • 80 for candidates with experience in veterinary care professions.

Manitoba

On May 23rd the (MPNP) held draws under three different programs.

The stream issued invitations to those whose profile declared a 鈥淢anitoba Supporter鈥 who is a close relative, as well as a Canadian permanent resident or citizen. Candidates also needed to be residing in Manitoba for at least one year to be considered in this draw. The MPNP invited 121 candidates with a minimum score of 782 under this stream.

On the same day, Manitoba held a draw under the , issuing 93 invitations to eligible candidates.

Lastly, the MPNP also held a draw under the stream. Candidates were invited if their profiles indicated they had been invited under a strategic recruitment initiative of the MPNP. The province issued 39 invitations o candidates with a minimum score of 688.

Of the 253 total candidates who were invited to apply, 29 indicated a valid profile and job seeker validation code.
