British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba and Alberta issue nominations in latest provincial selections

This week, four different provinces issued nominations to candidates through their respective (PNPs) and provincial immigration programs.

Candidates were selected for their professional experience, employment, language abilities, education, and more. Scores assigned by PNPs to candidates, based on these factors, vary by province and should not be compared with each other.

Provincial immigration results June 18, 21-28th

British Columbia (B.C.)

The (BCPNP) held immigration draws this week through six of its provincial programs.

On June 25th, five streams (, (EEBC) option, ,, and the ) held a joint draw, inviting a total of 35 candidates. Four streams required candidates to have a minimum score of 134, while candidates in the Entry and Semi-Skilled stream required a score of 110 to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for (PR).

The Skilled Worker and International Graduate (including EEBC option) streams also held another draw on the same day, issuing ITAs to candidates with professional experience within occupations that are in-demand in the province. The stream issued at least 29 ITAs. Candidates in childcare and construction professions needed a minimum score of 97 to be invited, candidates in healthcare needed a score of 106, and candidates in veterinary care professions needed a minimum score of 80.

Manitoba

The (MPNP) held draws on the 21st and 25th of June, issuing letters of advice to apply to 413 candidates.

On the 21st, the MPNP held a draw through the stream, issuing 52 letters of advice to apply to candidates with a score of at least 721. On the same day, the MPNP invited 111 candidates through the . Of the 163 candidates invited that day, 31 had declared valid profiles.

On the 25th, the MPNP invited 250 candidates through the Occupation Specific Selection pathway of the Skilled Worker Overseas stream. To be issued letters of advice to apply, candidates needed a minimum score of 516, in addition to being employed in an occupation with one of the following * (NOC) codes:

  • 31301 - Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses;
  • 31302 - Nurse practitioners;
  • 32101 - Licensed practical nurses; and
  • 33102 - Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates.

Of the 250 candidates invited, 93 declared a valid Express Entry profile.

*The NOC system is used by the Canadian government to identify and categorize occupations in Canada.

Quebec

On June 17th, invited immigration candidates through its provincial immigration program. The Minister of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI) invited 1,470 candidates to apply for permanent selection.

To be invited, candidates had to:

  • Have a oral proficiency in French equivalent to a level 7 according to the , or its equivalent; and either
  • Have a score equal to, or greater than 585 points; or
  • A valid job offer outside of the territory of the Communaut茅 m茅tropolitaine de Montr茅al.

Alberta

On June 18th, the (AAIP) held an immigration draw aligned with the federal Express Entry system鈥攊ssuing notification of interest letters to 73 candidates, through the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway with Alberta job offer stream. Candidates needed a minimum score of 301 to be issued a notification of interest letter.
