British Columbia and Manitoba hold immigration draws; Alberta provides processing updates

This week the (BCPNP) and the (MPNP) held immigration draws.

The (AAIP) provided processing updates on their provincial immigration streams.

In separate draws, British Columbia and Manitoba invited candidates on the basis of their professional experience, education, and inclusion in special strategic recruitment initiatives.

Provincial immigration results (September 27 to October 4)

British Columbia

On October 2 the BCPNP held two draws for immigration candidates to the province:

  • a general draw; and
  • a draw on in demand sectors.

In the general draw, the BCPNP invited 81 candidates through several immigration streams.

Here are the streams and cut-off scores for the general draw:

In the second draw, the BCPNP invited candidates with professional experience within in-demand sectors of the British Columbia labour market:

Manitoba

On September 27, the MPNP held two draws for immigration candidates.

The MPNP held the first draw under the and issued 269 letters of advice to apply.

In the second draw, for the , the MPNP issued 79 letters of advice to apply to candidates who had been invited under a 鈥淪trategic Recruitment Initiative鈥. Candidates required a score of at least 582 to be invited.

Of the total of 348 candidates invited under both draws, 56 declared having a valid profile and job seeker validation code.

Alberta

The AAIP published processing updates this week.

These updates report how many nominations have been issued, how much of their provincial allocation needs to be filled, and the current status of processing for each stream. These are detailed in the tables below:

Note: For candidates whose work permit is expiring in 2024, the AAIP is evaluating these applications based on the 鈥Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates鈥, to determine if candidates may be issued a letter in support of a extension.
